SYMBOLISM

Some people I have showed this photograph to have made some interesting comments about the symbolism concering the piece.

First, its obviously a lightning strike. People have actually muttered the word "striking." Some see it as a natural act against the World Trade Center, while others remark about how the Towers were designed to absorb any lightning in the area, therefore protecting other buildings.

Some see it as the clouds striking down onto the World Trade Center, but in actuality, lightning travels upwards.

Some see it as a premonition of things to come. There is another very slight bolt above the South Tower in the photograph. I see it as nature.

Any yet others see the bolt as a finger coming down from the clouds, emitting a bolt of lightning... Its just a forked bolt.
